About this policy
Stock Reconciliation is provided by Lazy Jack Limited. This policy explains how your information is handled when you use the app, visit our website, or contact us for help.
The app compares documents you choose to import. It does not make trades or connect to your broker, and you do not need to create an account with us.
Your documents and information
Statements, spreadsheets, photos, and scanned documents may contain personal and financial information. The app uses the information you import to compare holdings, record differences and notes, remember your import settings, and create reports.
Reading documents, recognising text in scans, comparing holdings, and creating reports all happen on your device. We do not receive or store your documents, holdings, results, or notes. The app does not use advertising or analytics, track you, or send your documents to an online processing service. We do not sell your app data.
Subscriptions and payments
An optional annual subscription lets you reconcile unlimited new sessions. Apple handles payment through your App Store account. The app checks your purchase status on your device to determine whether your subscription is active. We do not receive your payment-card details through the app or send your purchase information to a server operated by us.
Your subscription uses the Apple Account you use for App Store purchases. This may be different from the account you use for iCloud. You can restore purchases or manage your subscription from the app’s Subscription screen.
Remembering your free sessions
The app remembers which sessions have used your free allowance. It keeps a separate usage history using internal references rather than your holdings or security names. It also keeps references that help recognise the built-in fictional demonstration data. This history stays on your device and, when available, syncs through your private iCloud storage. It is not sent to us or used for advertising or analytics.
Deleting a reconciliation session does not delete its allowance history or restore a free session. Removing all local and iCloud app storage can remove that history; recovering it after reinstalling depends on the history still being available in iCloud.
Ending a subscription does not delete your records or prevent you from reading or exporting them. You can still correct and rerun sessions you have already successfully reconciled.
Using iCloud
When iCloud is available, your sessions and documents sync between devices using the same Apple Account. This includes holdings, results, notes, attachments, saved import settings, and saved security-name matches. Your information is stored in your private iCloud account; it is not a public or shared team workspace.
Apple provides iCloud under its own terms and privacy practices. The protection of your iCloud information depends on Apple’s services and your account settings.
Documents already downloaded to a device can be used offline. Device settings, app-lock settings, and temporary reports are not included in the app’s iCloud sync. Your device and Apple Account settings control system backups separately.
Camera, photos, and app lock
The app uses the camera when you choose to scan a document. You choose which photos and files to import. You can change camera permission in your device’s Settings.
If you turn on app lock, your device checks your identity using its supported unlock methods, such as Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode. The app is told whether the check succeeded. We do not receive your face or fingerprint data, or your passcode.
Saving and sharing reports
You decide when and where to save or share a report. Reports can contain personal and financial information, so check their contents and destination before sharing. Anyone who receives a report may be able to read that information. Other apps and services you share with have their own privacy practices.
Keeping and deleting your information
The app keeps the information you import until you remove it. Deleting a session removes its documents, holdings, results, and related issue records from the app on your device. Deletion from iCloud may take longer if iCloud is unavailable. Archiving a session keeps it for later; it does not delete it.
Saved import profiles and security-name matches are managed separately in Profiles. In Settings, you can also clear temporary exported reports.
Copies you have saved or shared outside the app must be deleted separately. Deleting the app does not necessarily delete information in iCloud or system backups. You can manage those through your Apple Account and device storage settings. The app may also keep recovery copies on your device to help prevent data loss.
Because there is no account with Lazy Jack Limited, there is no separate app account to close. Contact us if you need help finding the deletion controls.
When you contact support
When you email us or use our website contact form, we receive the contact details and message you provide so we can respond. This is separate from the documents and information you keep in the app.
We delete support emails and related contact-form records once your query is resolved. Please do not send financial documents, account numbers, passwords, or screenshots containing sensitive information. Describe the problem first and use fictional information for any examples.
When you visit our website
We do not use website analytics. Visiting the website is separate from using the app: the services that deliver the website receive information needed to handle your visit, such as your IP address. The website also uses Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google to display those fonts.
Website service providers may keep technical records of requests. These website requests do not give us access to the financial documents stored in your app.
